Seeing my Best friends this weekend!
This weekend I was supposed to go home Saturday night after work and surprise my mom, but my friend who was supposed to drive us got really sick. I really wanted to go home to see my friend Laurel, and I found out that my friend from Kutztown was home too. I called my mom and I told her I was supposed to surprise her, but I couldn't. She came to pick Caitlin and I up this morning early and we drove home, only like a half hour. My friend Jen picked me up and we went to the new outlet mall that just opened near my house. It was really nice, but so crowded. I was really glad I got to spend time with her and see my friend Laurel. I'll see them again at Thanksgiving, but I really missed them.
Thanksgiving!!
Every year my Grandmother makes Thanksgiving dinner for all of us. It is so good! She makes really good mashed potatoes, homemade pumpkin pie, apple pie, turkey and so much more. Last Thanksgiving I couldn't really eat that much because I got my wisdom teeth out the week before. This year I'm so excited, because I get to go home and see all my friends, that I haven't seen in awhile. I can't wait to see everyone. I wish we didn't have classes Monday and Tuesday, so I could go home sooner.
Work sucks!
I've been working at CVS for over two years and the pay is horrible. I started off at minimum wage making $6 an hour, I never recieved a raise until about a year ago, up 25 cents. And minimum wage just went up so I get $7.15. I also just transferred to the store out here, and they give me so many hours, its ridiculous. I don't think they understand I am a college student and I have a life. I had to work on Halloween, and I was very upset. I might quit because the manager hates me, and I just got another job, and I can't manage both. I know it's money and it's better than nothing, but I hate it.
my family
I love seeing my family everytime I go home for the weekend. They are so important to me! I have three younger brothers, and a bunch of little cousins who love me, sometimes too much. I miss going to my grandmother's every Sunday to see them, but I'm really happy when I do. I live really close, so it's not hard for me to go home every once in awhile, or just for the day. I'm glad I live so close and I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving.
